Shipping to the USA - Tariffs

Before ordering from the United States, please review the following information regarding import duties and tariffs. These charges are determined by U.S. Customs and are the responsibility of the buyer.

⚙️ Aluminum Products

Aluminum items remain available for U.S. orders.
Based on current information available to us, U.S. import tariffs are typically around 50% of the order value.

Please note:

  • Tariff rates are determined and applied solely by U.S. Customs, not by Sterk Products.

  • Customs may apply a higher or different tariff than estimated.

  • All duties, tariffs, brokerage fees, and import taxes are the buyer’s responsibility.

🚫 No refunds, reimbursements, or chargebacks will be issued for tariff or duty charges once an order is placed, including cases of over-assessment by customs authorities or refused deliveries.

🚫 Refused Shipments & Customs Holds

If a shipment is refused, abandoned, or not cleared through customs for any reason—including unexpected, increased, or disputed tariff or duty charges—please note the following:

  • Sterk Products is not responsible for refused or abandoned shipments.

  • Refused shipments are often not returned to us and may be seized or destroyed by the carrier or customs authorities.

  • No refunds, reimbursements, or replacements will be issued for refused deliveries.

  • Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute does not override these policies and will be contested with supporting documentation.

These products have much lower tariffs applied (0–25%) compared to aluminum.

A Note on Customs

While we do everything possible to provide accurate tariff information, final duties and tariff charges are determined solely by U.S. Customs authorities at the border.
We are committed to being as transparent as possible; however, Sterk Products has no control over customs classifications, assessments, or final charges.

1. Brokerage & Processing Fees

  • UPS, FedEx, and DHL may charge customs clearance (brokerage) fees in addition to any duties or taxes. These vary by carrier and service level.

  • UPS Standard® shipments from Canada to the U.S. often have a brokerage fee in the $0-10 USD range, while Express/Saver services may include brokerage in the shipping cost.

2. Possible Delays

  • Since the removal of the U.S. de minimis exemption (which previously allowed duty-free entry for shipments under $800 USD), all shipments now require formal customs clearance.

  • CBP and courier brokerage teams are processing higher volumes than usual, which may occasionally result in clearance delays beyond our control. Delays are estimated at 7 days.
